Directions of Use
For Garden beds:
Apply approximately 1 to 3 dm3 per sq.m.
(The better the soil, the less you need.)
Enrich the biochar by mixing some fertiliser into it. Ideally use rich organic compost or compost/earthworm tea. Then work the Biochar into the soil — to the depth of the plant roots.
Then add a layer of compost on top and start planting.
Once planting is done, cover with mulch and keep moist.
Your soil will get better with time. Biochar is proven to last for thousands of years.
Wait a year or so and then only add more Biochar to the beds where you do not see spectacular results.
Be patient — new microbial ecosystems develop over time.
For Shrubs and trees:
Add a few handfuls of Biochar in the hole before planting.
In Containers:
Mix into Potting Soil at the ratio of 1:10 per volume.
